Leaders are encouraged to approach each of these areas in a variety of ways by including activities sometimes close to the Cub Scouts’ own experiences, sometimes based in the local community and sometimes introducing them to issues in the wider world.
Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Cub Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They usually meet together once a week in a Cub Scout Colony.
Our Cub Scout Colony also organise Sleepovers. These are often the first time a young person spends a night away from home. They take place in suitable buildings, often Scout centres.
